Data collected on the basis of consent

Upon your request and expression of consent, we collect the following data for the purpose of providing services to you. Your data is not used for any other purposes or shared with third parties. It is removed upon your withdrawal of consent or your request to terminate these services.

Connecting to the game

Nickame: the nickname provided on the log in form is collected once you connect to the game.
When you connect to the game, your chosen nickname will also be saved in your browser's local storage. This is done for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your nickname again when you return.
The data in your browser's local storage will be saved on your computer until you delete it.

If you connect as an unregistered player a unique identifier assigned to your player will also be saved in your browser's local storage. This is done to identify you as a returning player so that your player status (i.e. moderation and voting rights) can be preserved across play sessions.

Retention period: the aforementioned data is retained indefinitely so we can recognize you as a returning player and maintain your player status.

Data collected on the basis of legitimate interest

Based on our legitimate interests, we collect the following data for the purpose of running and moderating this game. Your data is not used for any other purposes or shared with third parties. It is removed upon your request.

• The nickname you connect with
• The information entered into your public profile (only if you register your nickname).
  For unregistered players this information is saved in your browser's local storage so that you do not have to fill in this information again when you return.
• Your e-mail address (only if provided by you for a registered nickname).
• The date and time when you connect and disconnect from the game.
• Statistics about the time you spend in a DoodleBash room:
  • The name of the room.
  • The date and time when you join and leave a room.
  • The number of games you play in the room.
  • The number of games you win in the room.
  • The number of points you score in the room.
  • The number of guesses you make in the room.
  • Whether you have been thrown out of the room.
• Statistics about the time you spend drawing in a DoodleBash room:
  • The date and time when you start and finish your drawing.
  • The number of players drawing with you on the same picture.
  • The number of players trying to guess your word.
  • The number of players successfully guessing your word.
  • Whether you have skipped the drawing or completed the round.
  • The number of players warning you while you are drawing.
• Warnings issued against you or by you, including date and time, who issued the warning, and who it was issued against.
• Player reports issued against you or by you, including date and time, who issued the report, and who it was issued against.

The collected data is used to run and moderate the game. The gameplay statistics are used to determine your player's status (i.e. moderation and voting rights) and to follow up on warnings and reports issued by other players.
Your e-mail address is only used to send you a password reset link if you request one on the login page.

Your rights pertaining your data

If you have connected to the game, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we rectify or erase any personal data we hold about you.
